Season forever

Its so damn cold, said I,
wishing for a nice warm summer.
Its horribly hot, said I,
wishing for rainy showers.
Its drenching wet, said I,
wishing for a splendid spring.

I wished for myself.
Wished for one and all.
Wished for a season
Season of “smiles”
Season full of “happiness.”
season forever.

Prompt this week over at writer’s island is “The Season”, As it is the season to be Jolly, why not start that with a wish. And after couple of weeks I am back to 55 words for the writer’s island.

  1. Very nice, I will be starting Writer’s Island on my writing blog after the first of the year, I did post a poem this morning on that blog. should you be interested. I haven’t determined my writing schedule for 2008, but it is a top goal for me.
I truly did love this poem.

It would be fun to read your contribution at writer’s island..

  2. Great rambler. We don’t always get what we wish for but it is the wish for all that counts.

Wishing for all does count, sometimes even if we do not get the wish granted, the happiness from just the wish and then the wait is itself great.

  3. 🙂 nice one!

was reading thru some of your old posts and loved them. have blogrolled you. 🙂

Hey Thanks Priya for blogrolling me..
nice to see someone looking at the old ones 🙂

  4. well, thank you then, for all those good wishes! I like the way you always connect us with your innermost feelings.

    Thanks Pauline for your wishes..
I learnt sharing of feelings and its advantages very recently 🙂

  5. Humans, we are insatiable. We always find faults on everything and wish for something else, but when we have them, we wish again for another no end. We have to realize that what we have at the moment is a wish granted if not for us, for someone else. And that we should be grateful. What’s maybe “damn cold” for you maybe my first snow.

I like your realization and well wishes in the end. It shows your greatful heart. And that’s the key to true happiness.

    I wish you well.

    ~ Jeques

thanks Jaques.. I like your concept of one’s damn cold other’s first snow.

  6. I think this caught the wishes we all secrectly make when it is too cold, hot, humid, or dry and that you took this little twist to it made it charming for me. I like it a lot and wish you a very Merry Christmas.

    Hey Thanks Mary

  7. Rambler,
